Frequently Asked Questions

Why should we consider hiring you?

First, congratulations on your engagement and upcoming special day!

Your wedding is unique to you. You may have envisioned your wedding day and music for many years. I'm here to listen to all of your ideas and help your vision become reality! We've all attended many weddings, and I'm sure there are many things you've enjoyed and a few things you would have done differently. Let's combine my experience with your ideas to make sure your day is as memorable to the youngest and eldest person in attendance!

What is your experience and what type of DJ are you?

I have DJ'd weddings and all types of special events for more than 15 years. Being an ASU Alum has given me many opportunities to showcase my Open Format, Top 40, 90's, 80's, & 70's genre skills at hundreds of events in Tempe, Arizona and surrounding Phoenix areas. A request I tend to hear from potential wedding clients is "We want a DJ who has worked in the clubs because my family wants to get down & boogie!"

I pride myself on seamless mixing and excellent song selection/transitions which makes a noticeable difference. A DJ's most important weapon is being able to read a crowd and bring a diverse audience to the dance floor through music!

What is your service area?

Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale, East and West valley. I have also been hired for events in Sedona, Prescott Valley, and Tucson.  Finally, I have been hired for special events in California and Nevada.

What type of music can we expect at our wedding?

Some clients send me a list of their favorite songs they want played during cocktail hour, dinner and dancing portion of the reception. Other clients are focused on an atmosphere for their wedding and suggest different genres to be played. Once this is discussed, I can share the playlist and any changes or edits can be made to align with your expectations.

You and your fiance' have control over your playlist, whether or not guests can make requests...the choice is yours!

What type of equipment can we expect at our event?

I use the absolute best in professional live audio sound and have back-up gear available for the rare occasion of equipment failure. Regarding speakers, I currently use Electro Voice ELX/EKX line of self-powered speakers and Electro Voice EKX self-powered subwoofers that can provide sound for up to 250 guests.

  • Microphones - Shure Wireless lavalier and handheld mic

  • Uplighting - Chauvet Wireless EzPar

  • Rane and/or Pioneer Mixer

  • Technic Turntables

I will have a system set up for your ceremony and a 2nd system system set up for your cocktail hour/ dinner and dancing. Your guests will not see me fiddling with cables or carrying speakers during your wedding.

Are you comfortable DJ'ing a same sex wedding?

Yes! Love is Love! I love to see the joy that music brings to everyone!

Two hours before the music starts. I typically will visit the venue prior to the wedding to see where I will be setting up.
